2nd Annual Great St. Pete Cupcake Contest

The Morean Arts Center is searching for the city's best cupcake -- in honor of National Cupcake Day, of course.

Participants must make a minimum of 12 cupcakes for the judges to taste each submission. Cupcakes will be judged on icing/frosting, flavor, texture, presentation and creativity, for a total of 50 points.

The attending audience can vote on the People's Choice award, so bring extra cupcakes for the public to taste. The Morean says $1 from each vote collected will support the art center's "mission of Connecting People with Art."

The contest winner receives bragging rights on the Morean's Web site and Facebook page, as well as a handmade glass cupcake trophy.
