More than 195 graduates are expected to participate in Pinellas County Schools’ Countywide Graduation ceremony. The graduates include 18 GED Honors students and 17 high-school students who completed graduation requirements over the summer. The graduates range in age from 16 to 70.
State Representative Rick Kriseman will deliver the commencement address. Robin Wikle, school board vice-chairman, is scheduled to offer greetings from the board. The Countywide Graduation, now in its 21st year, was established to honor adult-education students who graduate with a GED or high school diploma. It now includes high-school students who complete their graduation requirements during the summer.
