Join family and friends Friday night at Fergs for a fundraiser to help out with a medical emergency for Bill Georgiou (Bill from The Burg). Bill has a problem with his esophagus that does not allow him to hold down food. He has gotten dangerously skinny, dangerously fast. Deemed a “pre-existing” condition by his insurance company, they will not pay for the surgery. Unfortunately, the only hospital qualified to do the procedure (called Heller Myotomoy to fix the condition called “Acalasia”) wants their money up front and it is $25,000.
Soooooooooooo, the St. Petersburg community is stepping up big time to help. Some of Saint Petersburg's most accomplished artists are donating significant pieces to be auctioned off Friday night at the fundraiser. All sorts of local businesses are donating gift certificates and merchandise also to be raffled off. Please join the group this Friday. Your $10 admission buys great food and a drink. Hideaway Café’s John Kelly Band will provide live music. Please be generous and buy lots of raffle tickets.
