This presentation explores the fascinating details of the military plot to kill German leader Adolph Hitler and avert World War II. This narrative is based on new documents discovered in the U.S. Army War College and in the Oster family archives in Germany.  Dr. Terry Parssinen, presenter, has a Ph.D. in the history of ideas from Brandeis University. He has been a professor of history at the University of Tampa since 1992. He is the author of several books, including The Oster Conspiracy of 1938, which was a selection by the Book of the Month Club, the History Book Club and Military Book Club as well as being featured on CSpan Book TV.
