First Friday St. Pete Party Returns After Pause With New Sponsors
The monthly free block party First Friday St. Pete, which took a two-month hiatus at the end of last year, returns Friday with new sponsors.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The monthly free block party First Friday St. Pete, which took a two-month hiatus at the end of last year, returns Friday, 6 to 10 p.m., along Central Avenue between 2nd and 3rd streets.
“First Friday St. Pete is back and we are ready to rock,” the event page reads.
The event, which costs about $12,000 to produce each month, took its pause because of funding issues, organizers wrote on the First Friday Facebook page. Costs include insurance, city sanitation and police, and permits.

Now, First Friday is back with new sponsors, many of them businesses located in Central Avenue’s 200 block. These include CMK Construction, Inc., My Florida Bath, Mary Margaret’s, Welcome to the Farm, Goodnight John Boy, Mandarin Hide, Crafty Squirrel, Pour Judgment, Club 201 at Detroit, Where’s Jubes and the Oyster Bar, according to the event’s website.
“Thank you to our sponsors for making this happen,” organizers wrote on its Facebook page.

Entertainment is provided by 22N. The block party also features food trucks, vendors, and drink specials at bars along the block.
