That's a Big Uh Huh for Uh Huh Her's Electropop Show
Leisha Hailey is best known for the TV series, 'The L Word.' She brought her band, Uh Huh Her, to the State Saturday night.
ST. PETERSBURG - Star of Showtime's hit series 'The L Word,' Leisha Hailey made an appearance with her band, Uh Huh Her, alongside Camilla Grey, Saturday night.
The indie duo played with a full-backing band on this tour, which hit The State Theater in support of their latest album, "Nocturnes," released in 2011.
Taking the stage at 10:15, Uh Huh Her played a solid one-hour set running through all the crowd favorites, old and new. Fans jumped up and down with excitement between songs.

Leisha Hailey took a five-year break from music when she landed an acting role in the Showtime television series. Hailey was previously in a band called The Murmurs; however, her interest in music never really died.
In 2007, when she met keyboard player Camilla Grey, her interest was rekindled and Uh Huh Her was formed. Named after a PJ Harvey LP titled, "Uh Huh Her," they take much of their inspiration from the iconic female singer.

Both members of Uh Huh Her are active in the gay and lesbian communities that dominate their fanbase. Many of the band's songs have been featured on major motion picture soundtracks amd television shows, which have only added to the continued success of Uh Huh Her.
