Giving Back - Third Annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive

As many of you know, every year I partner with The Backyard Company, Scott Kepler with Loan Simple and Kris Gehl with KG Photography to sponsor a BBQ and Toy Drive in support of Toys for Tots. This event has not only been great fun, but very rewarding as well. The past 2 years, in addition to the BBQ, I have volunteered my time on Distribution Day as well, and have just been blown away by the true generosity and heart-felt selflessness that is put into this drive every year. These are people who truly care about this organization and year after year work tirelessly to collect, shop for, sort through and prepare thousands of toys for the benefit of our local children. The looks on the faces of the mothers, fathers and grandparents that come to collect the toys will truly warm you heart as you realize that without of all this work behind the scenes, most of these children would not have any gifts at all to open on Christmas Morning. If your life is just crazy busy and you already volunteer for a thousand other things and you are thinking to yourself right now "But Stefanie, I really want to help but I just don't have the time!!" - never fear!!! While you are out running around collecting all of your Thanksgiving preparations, or Christmas shopping, or just at the mall with your friends/ kids/ spouse, pick up a toy!!! We have several locations for drop off, which I will list at the end of the post. Remember, it simply needs to be a new, unwrapped toy. No pressure!! Spend $5 or $50, your budget is your budget and every little bit counts!!
If you can, join us on December 9th at The Backyard Company (3153 22nd Ave N, St Petersburg) where we will have the BBQ cooking from 11-3! We also have FREE pictures with Santa, FREE games for the kids AND a Raffle with some pretty great prizes.

Year one, we collected over 250 toys, last year we collected 536!! This year, please help us collect over 1000 toys and fill our trailer with joy for our local children!!!
