A 6-year-old girl suffered serious lacerations Monday night when a Great Dane she was petting attacked her.
The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. when David Watson, 51, was walking Otis, his 130 pound, Dane on a leash in the common area of the King of the Road Mobile Home Park, 5701 Haines Road. A group of children came up to pet Otis, but when one girl attempted, the dog attacked her, an email from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.
The girl fell to the ground and the dog bit her on the neck, face and head.
