CJ’s on the Island Moving To St. Pete, Getting New Name
CJ’s on the Island, a Treasure Island bar, is making a move to St. Petersburg.

It will remain open on the beach through the end of April. Then, it will reopen sometime in early May at 5631-5651 Park Street N., the former home of Buffalo City Bar & Grill
“We are sad to announce that we will be closing CJs On The Island at the Treasure Island location April 30,” the bar wrote in a Facebook post. “It's been a stressful/exciting/fun/emotional AMAZING journey!! We want to thank everyone that has supported us over the last 10+ years (family, staff (and) customers) and helped make memories we'll never forget. Treasure Island will hold a place in our hearts forever because of all of you. It is now time to be on to bigger and better things.”

The bar promised its patrons a “larger space, plenty of free parking (and) new amazing concepts” in the new space.
“Thank you for these past 10 years on the island (and) your continued support…off the island,” the bar wrote in a post.
Culinary Center Opening in Warehouse Arts District
Foodie Labs will open in April in the ArtsXChange in St. Petersburg’s Warehouse Arts District.
Designed to showcase chefs, virtual restaurants and foodies, the lab will offer eight commercial cook stations, a baking station, a professional demonstration kitchen, event space and a pop-up café experience, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The project is the brainchild of owners Jim Pachence, the owner of Serious Foodie, and Kristin McKinney Zelinksy, owner of Pro Kitchen Hub in Tampa.
Last Standing Hamburger Mary’s in Tampa Bay Area Closing
The last Hamburger Mary’s location in the Tampa Bay area is closing. The Clearwater restaurant and performance venue will host its final drag showcases this weekend, according to a Facebook post.
“Yes, all the rumors are true, it’s our finale weekend at this location but please keep checking our Facebook page for all the latest updates in regards to where you can see our amazing divas hitting a stage, but for now book your table reservations on Yelp and it’s sure to be a sold-out weekend of drag shows and entertainment,” Hamburger Mary’s wrote in a post. “It’s so hard to say goodbye so instead we will say see you later. Let’s eat, drink and be Mary!!!”

The Hamburger Mary’s restaurants in Orlando, Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale will remain open.
Caribou Coffee Opening on Central Avenue
The first Caribou Coffee in Florida will open in St. Petersburg, I Love the Burg reported.
The coffee chain, which serves all-day breakfast, will open this summer at 701 Central Ave. in the former Banyan Café location next to the Morean Arts Center.
Cane & Barrel Opens at Downtown Hotel
The AC Hotel by Marriott’s rooftop bar and cocktail lounge, Cane & Barrel, has opened its doors in downtown St. Pete.
The bar is located on the eighth floor of the 172-room hotel, according to St. Pete rising.
It offs eight signature cocktails and four craft cocktails, as well as draft beer from local breweries and bottled beer.
Drive-Thru Coffee Shop Opening on 4th Street
Scooter’s Café, a drive-thru coffee shop and quick-service café, is coming to 9299 4th Street N., not far from the Gandy Boulevard intersection, I Love the Burg reported.
The Nebraska-based chain has more than 600 cafes across the United States.
