Humana to Bring 149 Jobs to St. Pete
Humana Cares also will host on-site jobs fairs at its Humana Cares Center, 800 Carillon Parkway, Suite 240, starting this Sat., Feb. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Earlier this week, Humana announced that 149 new jobs are coming to St. Petersburg. The company said it would be filling the positions immediately.
Humana Cares, the national complex and chronic care management division of Humana headquartered in St. Petersburg, announced Monday it will add 149 employees to handle the expansion of the company’s national care management programs, a news release said.
Hiring will begin immediately at Humana Cares for care managers, social workers, community health educators, referral specialists and health coaches. The company is looking to fill 84 of the new positions with registered nurses who have at least three years of experience. The new positions will be located at Humana Cares’ national care center at 800 Carillon Parkway in St. Petersburg, the release said.

According to the news release, Humana Cares, which opened its doors in February 2009 with about 200 associates, will employ about 1,450 employees once the additional 149 positions are filled.

Humana added some 700 jobs to its Tampa Bay workforce during 2011, including more than 500 at Humana Cares, and is one of the bay area’s largest health care employers with more than 3,000 associates in the region.
