Inmate Escapes From Pinellas Work Release Program
The Florida Department of Corrections is asking Tampa Bay area residents to keep their eyes open for the woman.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A search is under way for a 34-year-old woman who slipped away from the Suncoast Community Release Center in St. Petersburg Sunday evening.
According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Christal Anderson was deemed an escapee as of 6:30 p.m. Sunday while assigned to work release. Anderson, state records show, was convicted on organized fraud charges and sentenced in September 2014 to three years in prison.
Anderson is described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs an estimated 152 pounds. She has strawberry blond hair and a tattoo on her back.

Anyone who sees her or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call the state at 850-922-6867.
Details about Anderson’s escape from the 10596 Gandy Blvd. facility have not yet been released.
