"Kats" And "Kits" Push "Kubs" And "Kids" Deeper In Standings

With only twelve games left in the Three Quarter Century Softball Club's intraClub pennant chase, it seems clear that the result may be a photo finish.

Captain Larry McCrudy's "Kits" and captain Walt Ewald's "Kats" have spent the last month of competition in a tight race for the top of the rung of the championship ladder.

On February 24, the "Kid" s managed to score in only three innings of the seven-inning game. The Kits scored in every inning but the bottom half of the sixth on their way to a 13-6 victory.

Second game action found the "Kubs" falling another game back of the "Kits" and "Kats" as "Pitcher Pete Calabrese" stifled the "Kubs" with five shout-out innings in a 13-5 win. The loss dropped the "Kubs'" record to 14-15 on the season.

March, the last month of the intraClub Championship, has ten games remaining. On three of those dates, the Kats and Kits meet head-to-head on three occasions before March 31. The first of those games will be Thursday, March 3at 10:00 AM.
