Still Swinging

Kids and Kubs softball club highlighted on Toronto Sports Net (Canada's ESPN) Story by GareJoyce. Great video included.

Near the end of last season (2018-19) Gare Joyce of Canada Sportsnet in Toronto, CA (this is Canada’s, ESPN) visited The Three-Quarter Century Softball Club. Gare spent time with Club members during that time over five days.

The softball Club lists as its mission, “healthy exercise for men and women over 74 years of age,” has been in business for 90 years. Organized in 1930, the Club has no ties to the city’s recreation department, so is directed by a seven-member Board elected from its membership. A member of the St Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, the Club is in the business of offering a unique opportunity to active senior citizens.

See the result of Gare’s work by opening this link https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/kids-kubs-old-timers-st-petersburg/ The link takes a while to load. Be patient there is a lot here.
