FLORIDA — Looking for something fun to do in the Tampa Bay area this weekend? There’s something for every interest - Kentucky Derby events, music festivals, the Tampa Bay Chalk Festival, fundraising events, Mamapalooza.

Tampa Riverfest

This two-day free festival spans the entire length of Tampa Riverwalk, including several parks, Friday and Saturday. The festival features family-friendly activities and events showcasing Tampa’s cultural institutions, local musicians and restaurants; a full concert series of regional and local bands in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park; Taste of Riverwalk on Friday night; and Taco Fest on Saturday. Other activities include a wiener dog derby, a lantern parade, yoga, a water ski show and a paddle invasion.

Dick Vitale Gala

ESPN Hall of Famer Dick Vitale hosts a fundraiser Friday, 6 p.m., at The Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota to raise money for his V Foundation, which supports pediatric cancer research. This year’s honorees include Derek Jeter and Jeff Gordon.

Suncoast Hospice Beach Stroll & Fundraiser

This 23rd annual event, which raises funds for Suncoast Hospice, takes place Saturday, 8 a.m., at kicks off at the Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar in Clearwater.

Tampa Bay Chalk Festival

Youth and adult artists create colorful works of chalk art Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in St. Petersburg’s Deuces neighborhood.

Mamapalooza Family Festival

The Museum of Motherhood and Fairgrounds are hoisting this day of celebration and empowerment Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Midwifery artifacts from the Ybor City Museum Society will be on display, life coach Stephanie Allen will discuss work-life balance, Girls Rock St. Pete will perform, and there will be interactive art installations, family-friendly activities, and a marketplace with local vendors.

May the 4th Fundraiser for the Humane Society of Manatee County

This “Star Wars”-themed fundraiser benefiting the Humane Society of Manatee County will take place Saturday, noon to 4 p.m., at Waypoint Bar & Grill in Palmetto. Enjoy beer samples from eight different breweries, compete in a Star Wars-themed Jeep decorating contest, and show off your pup’s costume for a chance to win prizes.

Derby at the Pier

Celebrate the Kentucky Derby at Spa Beach on the St. Pete Pier, Saturday, 3 to 9 p.m. The event includes a raffle, casino games, live horse photos, Most Dapper Outfit and Best Hat contests, live music and more.

Be Fabulous Music & Arts Pride Festival

Musical acts take the stage at this annual Pride festival centered on the arts in Sarasota. This year’s events take place Saturday, 3 p.m., at Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center.

Tropical Heatwave

More than 15 bands will perform at this year’s Tropical Heatwave music festival Saturday, 5 p.m. to 12:45 a.m., at the Cuban Club in Ybor City.

Madeira Beach Captain’s Party

This 77th Founders Day celebration hosted by the city of Madeira Beach Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m., features live music, food trucks, kid-friendly activities and fireworks.
