At St Petersburg's North Shore Park, the "GrandDaddy of Senior Softball" organizations will open the 2021-22 season on Tuesday, November 2. Opening game ceremonies will begin at 9:30 AM, with two games immediately following. The Club, composed of senior softball players 74+ years and older, has been in existence since 1930.
Opening Day ceremony features a colorful flag ceremony and presentation of the Star-Spangled Banner and "O'Canada" performed by a contingent of Westminster Palms Vespers Choir members who will be on hand to provide vocals for the traditional numbers. The Kids and Kubs Club Song recently located in the Club archives will be a part of the ceremony sung by Westminster Plams choir members.

Featured in addition to the flag and choir presentation is the celebration of a donation of a HeartSine Automated External Defibrillator (AED) by ALLIED 100 LLC, of Milwaukee, Wi., valued at $1,755.00. Board Member Bill Barrett, instrumental in securing the donation, stated that the AED on-site at North Shore Park supports the Club's mission of "providing, safe, age-appropriate exercise for seniors in the Club."
North Shore Park is at 901 North Shore Drive, and the ball field is adjacent to the St Petersburg Aquatic Center at the Park. Under the direction of a seven-member board, the four teams within the Club call North Shore Park their home, with games every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday exhibition games, beginning at 10 AM. Admission is free, and fans of the game can attend.

The exhibition schedule features games against local and out-of-state teams and fundraising opportunities with local charities on announced Saturdays. As the uncertainties of COVID19 calm, the Club hopes to resume its regular schedule of exhibition games to include TASCO Teen Clubs, Florida General Hospital Transplant Team, and the annual Mayor's game in February. The Club plans to play at Clearwater's Spectrum Field Post-season tournament in early April. Additional Saturday exhibition games will be added as the 21-22 season progresses.
