Kids and Kubs Set Opening Day For 93rd Season

KIDS AND KUBS SET OPENING DAY FOR 93rd SEASON

The World Renown Kids and Kubs, a softball program for male and female senior citizens over 74, set opening day ceremonies for its 93rd season for Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

The Three-Quarter Century Club (aka Kids and Kubs) states its mission as “healthy age-appropriate exercise” through the game of softball. The Club has been in business for 92 years, and current members of the Club have an age spread between age 74-93.

Active three days a week, the physical and mental condition of the Club’s participants is genuinely an inspirational example for senior citizens, with emphasis on the importance of remaining active during their senior years. “Motion is lotion” for older muscles, and the softball game offers the opportunity to be healthy and competitive.

Known as the “World Renown Kids and Kubs,” by trademark, the Club brings to North Shore Park several talented players who carry the title “Hall of Famer.” Members of the Club are an inspiration and an example of how an active lifestyle can improve the quality of life.

You need not be a Hall of Famer to enjoy the benefits of the Kids and Kubs

“Summer Ball” opportunities occur at North Shore Park 901 North Shore Blvd every Tuesday and Thursday. Starting Tuesday, May 31 through October 25, 2022. Activities during the summer include batting practice and “pick up” games among the summer ball participants. Batting Practice begins at 9:00 AM.

Those considering Kids and Kubs membership for the 22-23 season wish to sharpen skills, upgrade physical condition, and become familiar with current Kids and Kubs players and the rules of a senior softball age-appropriate setting for female and male players over 74 years of age. Interclub Championship competition begins November 3, 2022
