Kits Win Two Games To Top Senior Softball Standings At North Shore

Three-Quarter Century Softball action during the week (11/29/22-12/1/22) saw Captain Gordon Norton's "Kits" win two games. The victories pushed the "Kits" out front and away from the 3-3 lock-up in the previous week's standings.

Tuesday's action saw the "Kits" use a seven-run unlimited run top of the seventh inning to settle the dust in a back-and-forth slugfest with the "Kats" in the early innings. "Kits," pitcher, Jerry Wollman, calmed "Kats" batters' scoreless innings in the sixth and seventh innings while striking out seven on the way to the 21-12 victory,

In Thursday's action, the" Kits" continued their lusty hitting, collecting 25 hits on the way to a 16-10 win over Captain Joe Hannah's "Kids." The victory enabled the "Kits" to sit atop the IntraClub pennant race at 5-3.

The weeks action was less productive for the "Kids" losing 10-8 and 16-10, dropping their record to 3-5." Kubs" and "Kats" split their week's work at 1-1- and remained at .500 in the four-team competition.
