A tiny black kitten has a new home after being rescued from a storm drain by a St. Petersburg firefighter.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Thanks to St. Pete Fire Rescue, a tiny black kitten has a new home.
Probationary firefighter Ethan McElroy rescued the adorable kitten, who was trapped in a storm drain at the corner of 9th Avenue N. and 59th Street N., the department shared on its Facebook page Wednesday.
Once rescuers determined the kitten was unharmed, it went home with its new family — “the individual who called it in,” SPFR said.
