Kubs Four-Game Losing Skid Ties Up Softball Standings

Week six of the Three-Quarter Century Club’s interclub competition saw the “Kubs” four-game lead evaporate as captain Walt Ewald “Kats” squad planted themselves into a tie at the top of the standings with a resounding thrashing of the “Kubs” 20-7 (12-16) to move into a tie with an 8-5 slate.

Previously “Kits” Dave Glauner’s walk-off hit Tuesday(12/14) enabled the “Kits” to give notice that they are ready to make a run for the top rung of the four-tiered ladder. The “Kits” trailing 10-8 in the bottom of the seventh Glauner’s hit scored two runs to add to the 10-9 score completing the three-run rally for the victory.

Action will continue at North Shore Park during the holidays, with games on December 21,23 and 27,30.
