Lightning Strike In St. Pete Causes Fire, Kills Pregnant Dog
A pregnant dog perished in a fire Tuesday night when lightning struck the travel trailer where she was staying.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- A pregnant dog perished in a fire Tuesday night, March 20, when lightning struck the travel trailer where she was staying.
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to a fire in the 700 block of 40th Avenue and found the travel trailer engulfed in flames. Firefighters said it was too late to save the dog. Her owner wasn't in the trailer at the time.
