Mazzaro's Italian Market Fire Under Investigation
Apparently, the fire started in the market's dry storage area. No one was inside at the time.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- The St. Petersburg Fire Department is still investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at Mazzaro’s Italian Market Friday night.
A St. Petersburg Police officer noticed smoke coming from the market at 22nd Avenue North around midnight Friday.
Apparently, the fire started in the market's dry storage area. No one was inside at the time.

In addition to the fire damage, the building sustained smoke damage. Damage and loss of merchandise estimates range from $75,000 to $100,000.
Although the public portion of the market was not affected, the market will remain closed throughout the week.
