New Restaurant Opening in Former Annata Space

A new restaurant will open in the Beach Drive NE space previously occupied by the wine bar Annata, which closed a little over a year ago.

The new Mediterranean-themed restaurant, Allelo, is the latest project from Volet Hospitality Group and Shawn and Jeanna Damkoehler, the team behind 400 Beach Seafood & Tap House, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Red Mesa is opening a second Mercado location in the space previously occupied by Two Graces, which quietly closed last month, and Reading Room, Creative Loafing reported.

The new Mercado will open this winter and will be similar to the original location.

Hookin’ Ain’t Easy Opens Café, Tiki Bar

The seafood market Hookin’ Ain’t Easy celebrated two years in business by opening its new café and tiki bar over Labor Day weekend, according to the Gabber.

The menu includes smoked mullet, grouper nuggets, a shrimp basket, pulled pork sandwiches, fish sandwiches and smoked chicken wings.

Jolly Roger’s Restaurant and Entertainment Venue Opens in Tierra Verde

A new restaurant, Jolly Roger’s Pub, has opened in Tierra Verde, I Love the Burg reported.

The eatery pays homage to Tampa Bay’s “pirate heritage,” according to its website.

“Jolly Roger’s Grub & Pub will simply offer a casual, down-to-earth entertainment option for any and everyone seeking something a little different. And if you dine here, expect to be insulted. It’s part of the fun. Expect the atmosphere at Jolly Roger’s Grub & Pub to be rowdy and loud, because everyone here will be here to have a great time,” the website said.
