Mother Nature Freezes TQC Standings At The Top
No games occurred for ten days (January 21 through January 31) Action concluded January 20 after two one-run decisions in each game played.
During the thirteenth week of the Three-Quarter Century's IntraClub pennant race, the weather took charge of the action with low temperatures and rain-outs freezing the "Kits" and "Kats in a first-place tie with identical 12-9 records. No games occurred for ten days (January 21 through January 31)
Action concluded January 20 after two one-run decisions in each game played. Captain Larry McCurdy's "Kits" battled to a first-place tie with Captain Walt Ewald's "Kats."
After losing an early third inning 9-3 lead, the "Kits" needed to fight off a seven-run rush by the "Kats" that tied the score at ten runs. The "Kits" final at-bat proved productive, scoring the winning run for an 11-10 victory and a lead in the IntraClub pennant race.

In the day's first game, Ray Henderson's walk-off bases-loaded single enabled the "Kubs" to remain in striking distance of the two pennant race leaders with a dramatic 10-9 victory.
With the "Kubs" leading 7-4 in the top of the seventh inning, the "Kids" recorded five runs to take a 9-7 lead. Henderson's single topped off a three-run rally and a 10-9 victory for the "Kubs."
