St. Pete Motorcyclist Run Over By Truck After Crashing Into SUV: FHP
A motorcyclist died after crashing into the back of an SUV, being run over by a tractor-trailer truck on Sunshine Skyway Bridge, FHP said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The northbound lanes of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge reopened Thursday afternoon hours after a motorcyclist was killed in a three-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, authorities said.
The four-lane cable-stayed concrete bridge reopened at 3:17 p.m., according to an email from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The bridge, which has northbound and southbound lanes, is part of I-275 and U.S. Highway 19. It connects Pinellas and Manatee counties.
The motorcyclist, a 50-year-old St. Petersburg man, was heading north on the inside lane of I-275 around 9:15 a.m. when he hit the back of an SUV that slowed for traffic on the bridge, a news release from the agency said.

The rider was thrown from his motorcycle and run over by a tractor-trailer truck driving behind him, according to FHP.
The motorcyclist was brought to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The SUV and truck drivers, a 55-year-old Wimauma woman and a 57-year-old Columbus man, respectively, were uninjured in the crash, FHP said.
