Motorcyclist Critically Injured On Pinellas Bayway
A motorcyclist is in serious condition after being struck by a Jeep Wrangler on the East/West Pinellas Bayway South.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- A motorcyclist is in serious condition after being struck by a Jeep Wrangler on the East/West Pinellas Bayway South.
On Friday, Aug. 24 at 5 p.m., a 2000 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Kyle Russell Lowman, 19, of St. Pete Beach was driving east on East/West Pinellas Bayway while a 2010 Jeep Wrangle driven by Lawrence Elliot Morse, 68, of St. Petersburg, was exiting Brittany Drive South in Point Brittany, attempting to turn left onto the Bayway. Morse reportedly failed to yield at the stop sign and struck the side of the Suzuki.
The Suzuki went down onto its left side and slid into the median. Lowman was wearing a helmet. He was transported to Bayfront Health St. Pete in critical condition.

Morse, who was not hurt, suffered a medical episode afterward and was also transported to Bayfront Health St. Pete.
The investigation is continuing.
