Murder Victim Found In St. Pete Home, Police Say
An anonymous tip led St. Petersburg Police Officers to a home on Irving Avenue.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating the murder of a man whose body was found inside an Irving Avenue home Thursday.
According to the agency, an anonymous tip came in just after noon about a possible dead body inside the home at 2440 Irving Ave. S. When police arrived, they found a 22-year-old man dead.
“The man died of homicidal violence,” the agency wrote in an email to media.

No further information is available at this time, including the man’s identity.
The police department reported late Thursday afternoon that it was in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the home. No further updates were expected on Thursday.
