Nature of Art to Close; Final Sales Are Friday and Saturday

After 12 years in business, The Nature of Art Gallery and Boutique, 1100 4th St. N, is closing this weekend. The closing comes on the heels of two nearby retail shops going dark on 4th Street.

The retail clothing store and gallery, specializing in local art, will hold a final sale this Friday and Saturday. Here's a partial list of what will be available: Shirts $2.50, pants $5, dresses and sets $8, 50% off photography, 15% off jewelry. Furniture & fixtures will also be sold.

The Nature of Art joins former 4th Street neighbors and , which also recently closed.

Meanwhile, Messineo's Italian Market at 179 1st Ave N has apparently closed down. The store is dark and locked up and the phone has been disconnected. However, the web site at messineosmarket.com is still up and accepting online orders.
