New Shorecrest Football Coach to be Named Today
Shorecrest Preparatory School will be announcing its new head football coach today at a press conference.
Shorecrest Preparatory School will be announcing its new varsity football coach at a press conference today, Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. in the new athletic center on campus.
At that time the new coach, a well-known, professional football player, will be introduced, a school press release said.
According to the St Petersburg Times, the new coach will be former Tampa Bay Buccaneer tight end Dave Moore.Â

"Moore is currently a color analyst on the Buccaneer Radio Network, but according to broadcast operations manager Jeff Ryan, he will take over a Chargers program that has been headed up by Phil Hayford since 1978. Moore will keep doing his broadcasting duties. A call to Moore was not immediately returned Tuesday night."
The school is inviting parents, administrators, current and upcoming football players and press to this event to meet Shorecrest’s new head football coach, a news release said.

Moore played with the Bucs for 13 seasons and retired in 2007. He made one NFL Pro Bowl.Â
