No Charges Expected In Traffic Death Of St. Pete Pedestrian
Police say the driver was unable to stop or swerve due to other southbound traffic around his car.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating the traffic death of a man who was struck while crossing 34th Street North on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
According to police, Reginald William Pittman, 48, was crossing the southbound lanes of 34th Street North in the middle of the block and walked into the path of a 2009 Honda Accord driven by Aaron Williams, 21.
Police say Williams was unable to stop or swerve due to other southbound traffic around his car. He struck Pittman with the front of his car, throwing Pittman onto and over the car.

Pittman was pronounced dead at the scene.
No criminal charges are expected to be filed.
