Nominations Now Accepted for Local Hero Award In St. Petersburg

Nominations are now being accepted for the "Local Heroes" Award, which recognizes local community members for their service. The award will be presented to three St. Petersburg residents during the “Rock, Stars and Stripes” concert Friday, April 14 at the Mahaffey Theater.

During the show, the award recipients will be honored and their stories will be shared with the audience. Nominations may include volunteers, first responders, military personnel, teachers, social workers, nurses and anyone who deserves recognition for the work they do to benefit the community.

The "Local Heroes" program was started by “Rock, Stars and Stripes” Vocalist and Guitarist David Victor, who is the former guitarist/vocalist for BOSTON, as a way to recognize the outstanding members of each city the show visited.
