Offensive Stats For Kids and Kubs Finds Larry Mc Curdy Leading the Way
Tuesday, November 1, 2022, "The World Renown Kids and Kubs,"Open their 93rd Season
Senior Softball Hall of Famer Larry McCurdy was the leading offensive player for The Three-Quarter Century Softball Club. McCurdy continued his Hall of Fame performance, typical of his career again in 2021-22.
McCurdy led the Club hitters in triples, runs, slugging percentage, times on base, batting average, and on-base percentage. Don “Cubby” Kutchinski led Club hitters in total hits and doubles. Ray Holt and Pete Calabrese garnered the most free passes with twenty-five walks to first base.
Pitchers, too, are a part of the Club statistics compiled by Club statistician Tom Heiderscheit.

Jim Scala accumulated the best win-loss record at 16-11 in 165.7 innings pitched. “Pitcher Pete” Calabrese led in innings pitched with 168.7 and a 15-14 win-loss record. Other winning records from the pitcher’s rubber included Darwin Shifflett 13-5, Walt Ewald 7-2, and JD Horn 8-7.
Tuesday, November 1, 2022, “The World Renown Kids and Kubs,” a softball program for male and female senior citizens over 74, set opening day ceremonies for its 93rd season at North Shore Park, 901 North Shore Dr., St. Petersburg, 33701.
