Overturned Cement Truck Closed I-275 Ramp At 22nd Street

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- The 22nd Avenue South exit ramp from Interstate 75 remains closed to traffic after a cement mixer overturned, spilling cement onto the road.

According to St. Petersburg Police, the accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. as the cement truck was coming off the interstate ramp. No other vehicles were involved.

The driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

22nd Avenue will remain closed for at least another hour until a tow truck can remove the cement truck. Cleanup crews on on the scene to clean off the debris on the road.
