ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Here's the latest restaurant and bar news in St. Petersburg area:

Pete’s Bagels Opening Third Location

Pete’s Bagels will open a third location in a historic gas station in south St. Petersburg.

Owners Steven and Sara Peterman will transform the Harbordale Standard Oil Station at 2439 Fourth Street S. into a drive-thru bagel and coffee shop in the Harbordale neighborhood, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

They already operate locations in St. Pete’s Grand Central District and Ybor City.

Dog-Friendly Coffee Shop Opening

A two-story, 3,500-square-foot dog-friendly coffee shop is opening soon in downtown St. Petersburg, St. Pete Rising reported.

Sage’s Playground, the concept of father-and-son duo Dyllan Allen and Roy Allen, will open at 218 4th Street N.

It’s named after their 14-year-old Cattle dog, Sage, who is battling stomach cancer.

Coney Island Drive-Inn Opens in Largo

Hot dog chain Coney Island Drive-Inn, which serves its “famous footlong,” has opened its sixth location in the Tampa Bay area in Largo.

"Everybody loves a hot dog!" owner Carter Lee told ABC Action News. "Hot dogs bring the people together."

This is his first location in Pinellas County. The chain launched in Brooksville in 1960 and his family purchased the business 10 years ago.

Starbucks Proposed for 9th Avenue N. Intersection

Plans have been filed for a new Starbucks at the northeast corner of 9th Avenue N. and 34th Street.

The site was previously an ExxonMobil gas station and the land is owned by Catfish Real Estate LLC, according to St. Pete Rising.

The location, if approved as is, will be drive-thru only with no indoor seating.

Drive-Thru Salad Restaurant to Open in North St. Pete

Greenlane, a drive-thru salad restaurant, will open a St. Petersburg location at the intersection of 4th Street N. and 80th Avenue N.

The chain already has a location in Tampa at 4495 West Gandy Blvd. and has a restaurant at 2055 Dale Mabry Ave. planned, as well, according to I Love the Burg.

New Drive-Thru Coffee Shop Holds Soft Opening in Gulfport

Annex Coffeehouse, a new drive-thru coffee shop, held its soft opening on Sunday, The Gabber reported.

The coffee shop, which serves hot and iced coffee drinks, tea, kombucha, and lemonade, has no indoor seating.

Hand-Rolled Sushi Concept Opening in EDGE District

A new hand-rolled sushi concept, Nomi Nori Handroll and Sake Bar, is opening in the EDGE District.

Restaurateur Steve Srivisay will take over two spaces inside The EDGE Eatery, I Love the Burg reported.

“We do everything with flair and have some elegance to it,” he said. “And we have really good flavors.”

Oyster Bar Moving into Former Zoie’s Space

The Oyster Bar, which recently moved from its longtime location in downtown St. Pete’s boisterous 200 block, will be moving to the Grand Central District.

The restaurant will take over the space at 2245 Central Ave. that was previously home to the short-lived Zoie’s, St. Pete Rising reported.

“I’m super stoked to head down to the Grand Central District,” owner Josh Cameron said. “Every time I’ve been down that way for a sneaky night or day it's been a fun time. From all the talk I’ve had with our existing regulars at The Oyster Bar, they couldn’t be happier to see us getting into that area because they love it. So it’s a win win for everyone!”
