Parking At Tropicana Field Opens To Public On Non-Game Days
About 3,800 parking spots in Tropicana Field parking lots will be open to the public on non-game days for the Tampa Bay Rays, reports said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Thousands of parking spots in Tropicana Field parking lots will be open to the public on non-game days for the Tampa Bay Rays.
Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7 bring about 3,800 new spotsto downtown St. Petersburg and the Edge District, I Love the Burg reported.
The spots can be paid for using the ParkMobile app, according to the city website.

The cost of parking at the stadium ranges from $15 to $30, WTSP reported.
“Strategic thinking and good partnerships. Big win for our city’s transportation team — new parking spots just created in downtown St. Pete,” Mayor Ken Welch wrote in a Facebook post.

The deal with the Rays was initially made with the city in April.
Business owners in the area are excited about the new parking options.
"That’s going to be huge on our business; it’s going to be huge for the whole district. Parking has been an issue here for some time, so adding 3,500 spots is going to help everybody grow," John Currier, the general manager of Ferg’s, told Fox 13.
