Pickup Truck Hydroplanes, Flips, Lands In Tampa Bay
A pickup truck ended up in Tampa Bay after hydroplaning on the Howard Frankland Bridge, flipping over and crashing through a guard rail.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- A pickup truck ended up in Tampa Bay after hydroplaning on the Howard Frankland Bridge, flipping over and crashing through a guard rail.
The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 30.
The Florida State Highway Patrol said the 2007 Toyota Tacoma was headed north on the bridge when it began sliding on the wet bridge, overturned and went through the guard rail.

The driver, Gordon Bechtold, 26 of Largo was able to get out of the truck before it went completely underwater. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
