Plant City Man Shot to Death in St. Pete

A 24-year-old Plant City man is dead following a Monday night shooting in St. Petersburg.

Police say the man, Clinton N. Bailey, was standing outside the home at 2533 Queensboro Ave. S. with a few other people when a man pulled out a gun and shot several times in Bailey’s direction. Witnesses told police the shooting happened “without provocation.”

Bailey of Branchwood Road in Plant City was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he later died, police spokesman Mike Puetz wrote in an email.

Police say the suspect fled the scene. They do not have an identity or motive to share at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
