Death Of St. Pete Man Now A Homicide Investigation: Police

Neighbors found a St. Petersburg man's door cracked open when they went to check on him, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg detectives have confirmed that the death of 28-year-old Tyler Clingman is a homicide investigation. Clingman's body was found lying on his apartment floor in the Old Northeast area on April 30, authorities said. Neighbors saw the door to the victim's apartment, 325 15th Ave NE, cracked open before they went to check on him, St. Petersburg Police said.

Detectives ask that anyone with information about the death of the victim call the non-emergency number at 727-893-7780 or send an anonymous message by texting "SPPD" and the tip to TIP-411.
