Police Say Death Of Elderly St. Pete Woman Suspicious

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Police say the death of an elderly woman at the Pinewood Village Mobile Home Park is suspicious.

Neighbors contacted police after Barbara Brylka, 76, hadn't been seen for several days. When police checked on her well-being, they found Brylka dead in her mobile home in the 10600 block of Poplar Street Northeast off Gandy Boulevard.

Police are collecting evidence and investigating to determine the cause of death but have reason to suspect the death wasn't natural or accidental.
