American Stage in the Park hosts its opening night of “Ragtime” Wednesday evening at Demens Landing Park. The show runs Wednesdays through Sundays, 7:30 p.m., for a month, closing May 14.
Weekly Meditation Class: The Nature of Our Problems
The Temple of the Living God hosts its weekly drop-in meditation class Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. Learn accessible and practical methods to develop and maintain inner peace, reduce and stop our experience of problems, and bring about positive changes in our lives that will enable us to experience deep and lasting happiness. This series is also a wonderful introduction to Buddhism and meditation. Cost is $10.
Yappy Hour
Join Pet Pal Animal Shelter, Get Sunmed St. Petersburg and Fetch Pet Care NE St. Pete Thursday, 6 p.m., on the patio of Pinellas Ale Works. $1 of every PAW beer sold will be donated to the shelter.
Tampa Bay Blues Festival
Musical acts including Robert Cray, Tower of Power, Tab Benoit and The Fabulous Thunderbirds will take over Vinoy Waterfront Park Friday through Sunday.
Zumba at St. Pete Pier with the Y
Join the YMCA Saturday, 10 a.m., at the St. Pete Pier for a free outdoor group exercise class. This month a Zumba workout is offered. Y members and non-members are welcome to attend.
Historic Old Northeast Art in the Garden Tour
Ten beautiful gardens featuring 13 artists and an array of musical entertainment will be on display for the public during the Art in the Garden Tour on Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m., in the Old Northeast. Cost is $30.
Shuffle Brews and BBQ
The St. Petersburg Sunrise Rotary Club presents its annual fundraiser at the St. Petersburg Shuffle Board Club on Saturday, 4:30 p.m. Learn how to play shuffleboard, engage in friendly competition, or just enjoy the delicious food and drinks. Each $35 ticket grants admission to the event, one plate of BBQ and two drink tickets.
Jazz Night with the Latin Jazz Knights Band
The Latin Jazz Knights Band will perform Saturday, 7 to 9:30 p.m., at the Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement.
Punk Rock Flea Pop-Up
