Rays Manager Suspended For Comments After Yankees Throw At Player
A Yankees pitcher intentionally threw a speeding ball at a Rays player, which led an upset Kevin Cash to be suspended for a game and fined.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Tampa Bay Rays' manager Kevin Cash has been disciplined as a result of his criticism of Yankees management and umpires following a fastball thrown at the head of a Rays' player in the ninth inning of Tuesday night's game at Yankees Stadium, Major League Baseball officials said.
Cash received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for his ejection and post-game comments about the Yankees' coaching and pitcher Aroldis Chapman, who intentionally threw a 101 miles-per-hour pitch at the head of Rays' player Mike Brosseau in the top of the ninth inning.
"It's absolutely ridiculous," said Cash in a post-game interview. "It was mishandled by the Yankees. Certainly the pitcher on the mound. It was mishandled by the umpires."
