Ricky P's Serves Up a Louisiana-Style Sunday Crawfish Boil
One pound of crawfish for $8? Dang, that's good. Ricky P's Louisiana Style boil was a runaway success.
ST. PETERSBURG - Po Boy specialists Ricky P's on 4th Street hosted a soldout Sunday afternoon crawfish boil outside the restaurant. Seafood fanatics assembled to take part in the festivities around noon and stayed until 3 p.m. A full order of the Louisiana-style boil, one pound, was going for $8 and included crawfish, corn, potatoes and sausage. Ricky's full menu was also available all day.
The event was such a success that it sold out around 2 p.m. and left some customers waiting in line for a taste of the Cajun concoction. Patrons were free to bring their own alcoholic beverages along to enjoy with their meal since the establishment does not feature a liquor license, and many did just that. Cans of beer could be heard cracking open from the line throughout the afternoon.
Exclamations of "I found a big one!" and "These are great!" filled the air as people dug into their plates. Ricky P's parking lot crawfish boil was a hit with the entire crowd. The boilmaster even had a smile on his face after working all day in the sun.
