Schools Offer Free Tech Help to Parents
Cafe 2.1 is designed to show parents how to navigate the school system's new website.

ST. PETERSBURG - Maximo Elementary is one of three Pinellas County schools to host a Cafe 2.1 tech initiative this summer for parents of schoolchildren in the district.
Palm Harbor University High and Morgan Middle School in Largo are the two other schools to offer parents help in navigating the school system's new website.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4:30-7:30 p.m., parents can meet with technology experts to get support and assistance. Help is offered for registering children for school, getting a parent password reset or navigating the new website.

Café 2.1 is modeled after Apple’s Genius Bar, so parents get 30 minutes of one-on-one help with tech teachers. All funding for Café 2.1 staff comes from the Enhancing Technology Through Technology grant project.
