Scooter Operator Killed in Crash In St. Pete
A motor scooter operator was killed Monday, June 11, after being struck by a car on 36th Avenue North in St. Petersburg.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A motor scooter operator was killed Monday, June 11, after being struck by a car on 36th Avenue North in St. Petersburg.
According to St. Petersburg Police, shortly after 5 p.m. a 2016 Hyundai Elantra driven by Terry Joiner, 61, was traveling north on 16th Street North when a motor scooter operated by Michael Cardinal, 51, failed to yield to the Hyundai.
Cardinal was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he died from his injuries.
