Should St. Pete Add a New Business Association?

There are business groups for 4th Street, Grand Central and MLK. What about for south St. Pete?

ST. PETERSBURG - Whether to organize a 34th Street South business association, from 38th Avenue South to 54th Avenue South, is the topic of meeting hosted by the Business Assistance Center on Wednesday, May 25, at 6 p.m.

All business owners along the 34th Street South corridor are welcome to attend. The meeting will take place at the St. Petersburg National Guard Armory, 3601 38th Ave. South. Development, business ideas, business growth and opportunities are all up for discussion.

The idea was suggested by the neighorhood groups that shop on 34th Street South.  Tom Ando, president of the Broadwater Civic Association, said in a written statement that "we have one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in St. Petersburg. This will be a way to promote business development in our neighborhood."
