Sign of the Times: Taco Bus Is on the Way
The bright yellow sign is up, but business leaders say the restaurant is trying to keep a low profile as it works to open a Mexican diner similar to the popular Taco Bus in Seminole Heights.

ST. PETERSBURG - The Taco Bus sign has suddenly appeared at the popular Mexican restaurant's new location in the Grand Central District. Taco Bus 2 was scheduled to open Jan. 15 at 2324 Central Ave., but the launch has been pushed back to early February. Business leaders close to owner Rene Valenzuela say that he wants to have a soft opening and therefore is staying quiet about the schedule for his new restaurant in the Grand Central District. Restaurant employees at the Seminole Heights diner said they expect the St. Pete restaurant to debut Feb. 1.
