Sold-Out Top Chefs Event To Benefit PARC Culinary Program

Some of the area's top chefs will join culinary students from PARC for the fourth annual Top Chefs event Saturday, Sept. 15.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Some of the area's top chefs will join culinary students from PARC for the fourth annual Top Chefs event Saturday, Sept. 15.

In what's become one of the major fundraisers for the nonprofit organization, which provides opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities to exercise their independence, the sold-out event at the Birchwood Grand Ballroom in St. Pete will give guests an opportunity to endulge in unlimited appetizers, entrees and desserts prepared by PARC members paired with top chefs.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with these incredible restaurants this year,” said Karen Higgins, PARC’s president and CEO. “Their support helps raise awareness to PARC’s Culinary Program and the opportunities it brings to hundreds of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served throughout the year.”

The night’s decor will be iinspired by a painting titled :Hibiscus" by PARC artist Michelle that will be showcased during the event. The painting will be available for purchase during the live auction, which will include items ranging from a VIP night in a Rolls Royce to a getaway across the U.S.

Among the restaurants participating this year are Birch & Vine, Guppy’s on the Beach, Rusty’s Bistro and The Galley plus several corporate chefs from Bloomin’ Brands representing Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Desserts will be provided by (Swah-rey) a dessert bar.

Allison Kropff, from WTSP 10 News, will serve as the emcee for the event.

Since 1953, PARC has been offering vital services and now supports more than 800 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
