Sons Of The American Revolution Hold November Meeting
Sons of the American Revolution Saint Petersburg Chapter held an in person meeting in November at the Saint Petersburg Yacht Club

SAINT PETERSBURG, FL - The Sons of the American Revolution Saint Petersburg Chapter held a General Membership in person meeting on Saturday, November 20th at 9:00am at the Saint Petersburg Yacht Club. This was the second in person meeting since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and 15 people were in attendance. Vice President Harry Fuller presided at the meeting.
The guest speaker was Rui Farias, Executive Director of the St. Petersburg Museum of History. He spoke about the history of the city and the current renovations being made at the museum. Vice President Harry Fuller indicated that the Saint Petersburg SAR Chapter was chartered in 1928 and would like to partner with the museum to create a display about the history of fraternal and service organizations in the city. Former Chapter President Charles Butler gave a brief report about the efforts to improve civics education in Florida throigh the efforts of the Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution Education Outreach Committee.
