Sons Of The American Revolution Welcomes Lori Coffey

SAINT PETERSBURG, FL - The Sons of the American Revolution Saint Petersburg Chapter welcomed Lori Coffey at their General Membership, in person meeting on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 9:00am at the Saint Petersburg Yacht Club.

Lori Coffey is currently the Vice President of the Pinellas Genealogy Society and a member of the Caladesi Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. At this meeting, Ms. Coffey gave a presentation about women of the Revolutionary War. In period dress, she spoke about women who had a significant role in the Revolution, such as Betsy Ross. She also related the issues that the average woman would have faced, such as having to maintain a homestead while a husband was away fighting in the conflict.

The Sons of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to enhancing education, promoting patriotism and preserving American history. Members of the Sons of the American Rolution can trace their lineage to a patriot who supported the cause of American Independence.
