St. Pete Alcohol Sales Allowed In Phase 2 Reopening: Coronavirus

Along with FL beginning Phase 2 of reopenings, St. Pete's mayor ended temporary city-issued extended hour permits for the sale of alcohol.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Mayor Rick Kriseman ended the temporary suspension of city-issued extended alcohol sale permits on Thursday, and on Friday Florida entered its Phase 2 of reopening from coronavirus restrictions.

As a result of Kriseman terminating the temporary suspension, any bar or other establishment that possesses such an extended hours permit may sell alcohol pursuant to that permit, said a news release. There are no remaining restrictions on alcohol sales contained in the mayor’s emergency orders, although alcohol sales remain subject to the Governor’s orders and applicable laws.

During Phase 2, bars are limited to 50 percent capacity indoors, with everyone seated, although outside seating will be unlimited.
