St. Pete Bicyclist Killed In Accident On MLK Street

A bicyclist has died following a crash in the 2800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Street North just after noon Thursday.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 25-year-old bicyclist has died following a crash in the 2800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Street North just after noon Thursday.

According to St. Petersburg Police, Brian Doughty Jr., 44, was driving his SUV north when he struck Anne McLaughlin, who was riding her bike in a marked crosswalk. McLaughlin died at the scene.

Doughty remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
